Dauntless is set to be a multiplayer online co-op action RPG that aims to combine the advantages of Monster Hunter and Dark Souls. Essentially, it’s all about hunting ‘Behemoths.’ These nasty giant creatures once drove humans from their homeland. In floating cities, humans found refuge and prepared to reclaim the land from the monsters. To pave the way, players, as ‘Slayers,’ venture out in teams of four to eradicate the pesky monsters. However, to take down such a beast requires teamwork and well-thought-out plans. Additionally, you must master your weapons optimally and execute complex timed combos to exploit the weaknesses of the creatures. Dauntless will launch as a free-to-play game on May 24, 2018, in open beta.
