Fairytale Distillery have announced a new name for the sandbox MMORPG with survival elements Das Tal.
The new title is now The Exiled. After four years of development, they have decided to make this change. Das Tal has always been just a working title. They have often thought about finally giving the MMO a proper name, but they were not mentally ready due to the extensive development work. Now that the game’s release is approaching, the time has come to choose a name that does justice to the game.
A Name with Meaning
With the new name The Exiled, they want to focus the game’s attention on the inhabitants of the valley. You are an outcast and must find your way. This is more important than the surroundings, so the new name is more fitting for the game. Additionally, The Exiled will create a completely different image in players’ minds, especially for those who are not proficient in the German language. In general, they have no problem having a German title, but for many, Das Tal would have simply been a string of syllables without real meaning.
And so all fans of Das Tal must now get used to the new name of the MMORPG: The Exiled.
