The Winter Event of Overwatch is live. We show you which new skins are available in December 2017!
The pre-Christmas season has begun, which also means a special event in Overwatch! Patch 1.18 has just been deployed on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. This year’s Winter Event of Overwatch, the Winter Wonderland 2017, offers numerous new unlockable items. The highlights are the new skins available for some heroes.

The skins are only available during the duration of the event in special loot boxes. The Winter Wonderland loot boxes can either be purchased directly in the shop or earned in-game; players receive them for level-ups and achieving nine wins in the Arcade.
If you don’t want to rely on your loot luck, you can also buy coveted items directly for credits, which are awarded for double items in loot boxes. The new skins cost three times the price of a regular skin (legendary: 3,000 credits), while skins from the previous year now have the regular price.
The Winter Wonderland 2017 ends in three weeks, on January 1, 2018.
Cortyn says: This year I’m really satisfied with the skins; especially the Junkrat skin in the bathing suit appeals to me and will probably ensure that a few more euros land in Blizzard’s account. The new Mei game mode also looks fun and will likely entertain for at least a few rounds.
