Those who own a (virtual) ticket for BlizzCon 2018 will also receive goodies in Hearthstone. Most of these are, however, old card packs.
In less than a month, BlizzCon 2018 will take place and reveal the news that Blizzard has planned for the next year. Anyone who wants to follow it live from home can purchase a virtual ticket and simply watch the streams. Additionally, there are various goodies depending on the game. For World of Warcraft, there are banners and capes, for example.
What are the goodies in Hearthstone? For Hearthstone, a special card back in the usual blue of BlizzCon is available. In addition, there are a total of 10 packs from various old expansions. The exact packs are:
- 2 Classic Packs
- 2 Packs of Journey to Un’Goro
- 2 Packs of Knights of the Frozen Throne
- 2 Packs of Kobolds & Catacombs
- 2 Packs of The Witchwood
The community’s opinion is divided: Fans are split on whether they are disappointed or happy with these goodies. Some players find it farcical to receive “old” content as goodies, much of which will not be usable once the new year begins.
Many players are also happy about the bonus packs and believe that these cards are, at worst, arcane dust that can be used to craft new cards.
When will the goodies be available? After purchasing the virtual ticket, you should receive the card back immediately when logging into Hearthstone. The 10 bonus packs seem to be available at a later date.
By the way: You can also obtain a virtual BlizzCon ticket completely without spending real money!
What are your opinions on the goodies for Hearthstone included in the virtual ticket? Is that a cool bonus? Or are old packs rather disappointing?
