In just a few days, the survival online game Darwin Project will enter Early Access – on PC and Xbox One. The game is described as a mix of “PUBG and Hunger Games.” The concept of a showmaster is innovative.
In Darwin Project, you are participants in a reality show where survival is at stake. You find yourself in a frigid, wintry landscape where other show participants also reside. Everyone tries to survive, leading to thrilling PvP duels.
Those who want to experience this can dive into Early Access via Steam from March 9th or join the game on the same day through the Xbox Game Preview program on Xbox One.
A new live gaming experience
Darwin Project relies on live streaming, as the interactions between viewers and players and the intervention of the “showmaster” are a crucial part of the battles:
- Players use special “powers” to defeat enemies
- Battle royale game mode
- The “showmaster” intervenes in the fights and can, for example, initiate gravitational storms or detonate atomic bombs
- As viewers, you actively engage in the game
- Viewers can influence the “showmaster” and vote on which player will be the target of a nasty attack
Interactions between viewers, “showmaster” and players are important
It is precisely this interaction between the actual players, the “showmaster,” and the viewers that will elevate Darwin Project in terms of livestreaming a game to a new level wants.
From March 9th, you can join in. The Early Access version costs around 15 dollars – for both PC and Xbox One.
Darwin Project aims to be a mix of PUBG and Hunger Games.
