In Hearthstone , a new card chaos has begun. We tell you what it is about.
Since last night, players in Hearthstone are dueling under new rules: The current card chaos from January 12 is called “Duel of the Spellbooks.” This is a new Tavern Brawl, as card chaos is called in English.
- Players choose a class
- They decide on 10 cards from their collection when assembling the deck.
- Each card may only appear once.
- Every time you are up at the beginning of your turn, when you have to draw a new card, you can “choose” one from a pool of 3 cards with the Discover mechanic.

This means that you can specifically assemble a deck and then have the opportunity in the game to receive the card you are aiming for in the situation. With a significantly higher probability than in normal play, you get the card you need.
A deck that is recommended on deck-building sites is this priest deck on the right – the idea is to double the health points with Divine Favor on the 1/8 tournament medic or the 2/5 knight of Stormwind and then raise the attack points to murderous levels with Inner Fire, and that quite cost-effectively. The other cards serve as card draw and to keep the opponent in check.
There are numerous other decks that can drive opponents crazy in the Duel of the Spellbooks. Popular is the rogue card “Beneath the Grounds”, which can spoil opponents’ Discover and limit their options. Reno Jackson and other cards that only work when you have no copies in the deck work flawlessly, by the way.
