The Artcraft Studios have great news for fans of the PvP-heavy MMORPG Crowfall.
For cost reasons, the races and classes available for character selection were previously tied to fixed archetypes.
For example, it was not possible to create a ranger minotaur. However, as the financial situation has now improved significantly, the developers have decided to abolish the archetype model and allow players to assemble their characters themselves from the races and classes. Yes, a ranger minotaur is now possible.
Crowfall: No more archetypes, but free class choice!
In a video, the team talks more about this change. The abilities of the race should not be affected, though. As a Fae, you will still have wings, and as a Guinecean, you can burrow into the ground – regardless of which class you choose. Additionally, the developers introduce the disciplines of the classes in the video, which essentially represent your skills and through which you can define subclasses.
Graphics have been significantly improved
But that’s not all. The Artcraft Studios have also released a new gameplay video, in which you can see significant graphical revisions.
Compared to the previous, rather simple comic style, many effects can now be seen. The fog looks more threatening, the light creates a very special atmosphere, and the cobblestones in the cities reflect sunlight. These new effects make the whole game shine in a new light.
The development of Crowfall is steadily progressing, and several alpha tests have already taken place, which will continue to be held in the future. The beta currently has no date but could potentially start towards the end of the year.
