Crimson Desert releases 11 minutes of new gameplay and further ignites the anticipation for the highly awaited action RPG.

More battles and a new grappling hook
What does the gameplay show? This time it shows an entire quest: Hero Kliff wanders through an army camp in search of a duke. When he sees him, he immediately wants to speak with “Grey Mane” (a nickname of the protagonist) privately. He then describes the current situation to us:
- During the duke’s absence, rebels have taken over his castle, which is why he is now trapped in front of his own walls
- The situation seemed hopeless for the duke until Kliff showed up. A countess apparently spoke favorably of our protagonist to him.
The duke wants to retake his castle and Kliff is to assist him. He first storms the northern gate of the castle with the duke’s soldiers. Here the combat system of Crimson Desert shines once again:
- The first enemy is immediately thrown to the ground by Kliff and hurled away in one swing
- Next, combat with the spear (which is more like a cross between a glaive and a halberd) is demonstrated. The weapon is suitable for sweeping attacks and precise thrusts
- The moveset with sword and shield is also presented again – this time with a magical attack that freezes enemies

A new feature is also the use of a grappling hook. If you grab a surface with this, you propel yourself into the air with a jump. Then Kliff spins quickly like a yo-yo and begins gliding, which is enabled by a magical feather cloak.
This way of movement ultimately brings us inside the castle, where the leader of the rebels is waiting at the top. He hits hard and even makes the pillars in the boss arena break with his strikes.
What do the players say about it? The new gameplay considerably raises the anticipation among many fans. The scope and possibilities of the game seem to be becoming larger and more numerous each time.
