A company offers you a complete social network with thousands of comments praising and admiring you. The catch of this network: Apart from you, no one is real.
What kind of network is this? The SocialAI network from Friendly Apps looks at first glance like Twitter, X, or other social feeds. Once you post a message there, you receive replies from other people.
However, SocialAI is special in this regard because apart from you, no one is real; all other participants are AI-powered bots.
You decide who can comment and who cannot
Every bot is selectable: In SocialAI, you decide what kind of followers you have in the network. The network offers you a long list of bots from which you can select any number of followers who will then comment on you. However, you must choose at least three types of bots.
Do you want to finally make your voice heard or just want to hear nice things? Then choose bots like “Supporter”, “Fan”, “Cheerleader”, and “Charmer” and receive a compliment for every comment.
But you can also achieve the opposite and only select critical bots that will treat you much less kindly. Whatever is behind the bot “brutally honest”.
How well does it work? The online portal Techcrunch teases a bit, saying that SocialAI feels more like a “showcase for AI technology” than a real social network, but SocialAI is still in its early stages. The responses are sometimes more or less meaningful. So you shouldn’t expect too much from SocialAI just yet.
How much does the app cost? At the moment, SocialAI is completely free and is foregoing in-app purchases during the testing phase. The company only plans to introduce them once it has achieved market maturity with SocialAI.
By the way, SocialAI is the third app that Friendly Apps has developed. The company has already experimented with AI, for example with AI Hits, a website for music streaming charts, and with Cosmic, an online dating system that connects users through AI personality tests.
