A new update for the Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone is available. It includes not only changes to popular weapons but also a possible solution for the truck issue.
These weapons are being changed: Several weapons are addressed in the new update for Warzone. The first change concerns has already been nerfed before. However, the developers still felt that this was not enough. Therefore, the headshot multiplier of the CR-56 AMAX has been reduced from 1.62 to 1.5.
“The CR-56 AMAX has continued to show an disproportionately high dominance in the area of long-range assault rifles,” the developers explain the decision. They wanted to correct this outlier.
The second weapon is the FARA 83, where the developers, according to their own statement, have not yet fully decided what role the weapon should play: “We would like to see it as an assault rifle suitable for long distances and have therefore smoothed the recoil so that it is easier to control at distance. In addition, we increase the hipfire spread, making it somewhat less effective at close range.”
Besides these two weapons, the recoil of the AUG from Cold War has been reduced, and the fisheye effect of the lens on the LW3 Tundra rifle has been slightly adjusted. Additionally, there were adjustments for popular sights from Cold War and the new meta-suppressor has been buffed. You can find the complete patch notes here: via RavenSoftware.
But the weapons were not the only things that were adjusted.
Fewer trucks for solo players
This was the problem with the trucks: If you look around in the Warzone subreddit, it has almost become a meme that the endgame in solo matches is often determined by the powerful trucks. They are characterized by a lot of resilience and are therefore very popular.
This new update has now addressed this issue. The solution: Instead of 16 to 20 trucks per match, only 5 trucks will now spawn on the map.
This will make them more attractive targets for players, the devs explain: “In solos, players are not eager to spend a significant portion of their resources eliminating cargo trucks, which often leads to a large number of them in the final circles.” Thus, players could bypass traditional gameplay in the endgame, which was not the intention of the developers: “A significant reduction in the number of cargo trucks in solos will make it possible to decrease them throughout the game, as their presence on the map has been significantly reduced.
In conjunction with this, a bug has been fixed that allowed vehicles to eliminate their own teammates. Therefore, vehicles will also be a smaller threat in multiplayer matches… for their own team.
Another issue players recently had was visibility in CoD Warzone. Here, a senior developer has already announced that work will be done on this.
