The fresh Season 2 brought a new method for quick weapon leveling to Call of Duty: Warzone. MeinMMO shows you how this works.
Season 2 arrived on February 14 for the free Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone and brought a host of innovations and balance adjustments.
Included was the Deathmatch mode “Clash” and it turns out that this large battle of two teams is excellently suited for weapon leveling. But you have to be quick – the mode won’t be in the game forever.

How does the method work? For quick weapon leveling, follow this 3-point plan:
- Activate a weapon XP token in the lobby
- Start “Caldera Clash”
- Use the bounty missions
Then hunt your bounty target or let the corresponding enemy be taken out by your team. Since this is a deathmatch, the chances are good that your task will be completed quickly.
If there are only a few bounty contracts on the map you are playing, grab other contracts. While it won’t be as fast as with bounties, it still grants considerable weapon XP.
How quickly do my weapons level up? The method was discovered by players on the discussion platform reddit (via reddit).
The thread creator writes that he was able to level up his weapon from level 1 to level 23 in a match. He didn’t even need to fire his weapon – his bounties were always taken out by teammates.
It is estimated that with this method, it takes less than an hour to bring a gun to max level.
Which actions grant weapon XP? If you want to go full on weapon XP, then limit yourself to the following actions:
- Kills
- Assist
- Contracts
How long can I use this? If there is no nerf from the developers, then you can use the method until March 3. On that day, “Clash” will be removed from the playlist.
Some commentators write in the reddit thread, “Can you delete the post now before Raven sees it and nerfs it?”.
What does the method bring for the other leveling systems? You also receive a lot of XP for the other systems – if you are already leveling, then activate other XP tokens as well.
Then also open many loot boxes, spend your cash at buy stations, and loot everything you can find. If you only want weapon XP, focus on the bounties.
How can I level weapons quickly? Once Clash is removed from the playlist, you can also use the contract method in Plunder.
Grab a vehicle, activate contracts, and drive across Caldera to complete the missions.
Instead of bounty contracts, you should focus on reconnaissance – then you usually have a relaxing round and level up your guns alongside.
