With Season 2 came two new weapons from Black Ops Cold War into the arsenal of Call of Duty: Warzone – Assault Rifle FARA 83 and Submachine Gun LC10. MeinMMO shows you where the weapons stand and what setups are working.
With each new season, the battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone gets at least two new firearms, and with the “Cold War” Season 2 these are the FARA 83 and the LC10:
- FARA 83 – Assault rifle with rather limited range and noticeable recoil
- LC10 – Very stable SMG with relatively high range but low damage
MeinMMO presents the weapons to you, compares them with their competitors in Warzone, and shows you setups that will help you get the most out of the weapons.
FARA 83 – Reminds of the FFAR but can’t keep up
What kind of weapon is this? The FARA 83 is an Argentine assault rifle that was developed and produced in that Latin American country. It was supposed to gradually become the standard weapon of the armed forces but never gained the desired distribution. Production ended in the 90s (via Wikipedia).
How should I use it in Warzone? In Warzone, the FARA is an all-around weapon focused on close combat. It can help cover areas where you are at a disadvantage with a sniper rifle.
It has noticeable recoil, which makes it less effective at longer ranges. Thus, the FARA is set in line with the popular FFAR 1 from Cold War or the CR-56 AMAX from Modern Warfare.
FARA compared to direct competitors
How does the time-to-kill compare? The FARA faces strong competition in its best usage area and cannot keep up in duels. It is slightly more stable than the FFAR 1, but in terms of damage, it falls behind the “Cold War” weapon.

As an all-round weapon, it is still clearly ahead of the competition, which is stronger in range (like the M4A1). However, when comparing with the assault rifles that excel at close combat, it falls short.
Should I use the weapon? The weapon is fundamentally not bad, the problem is the strong competition. The FFAR 1 and the AMAX can be effectively controlled in close combat and have a better time-to-kill. However, the difference between the FARA and FFAR 1 is only about 60 milliseconds. Give the weapon a chance if you want a bit more control in this area.
However, the reload time is still a real drawback. It is over 3 seconds and is 0.7 seconds slower than the FFAR. In difficult situations, this difference is noticeable.
Warzone: FARA 83 Setup
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 13.7″ Extended
- Stock: Spetsnaz PKM Stock
- Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
- Ammunition: STANAG 60-Round
LC10 – High control but lacks punch
What kind of weapon is this? The LC10 has been in the game since Season 2 of Cold War and comes from the same fictional manufacturer as the sniper rifle LW3-Tundra. It is described in-game as a well-balanced weapon with excellent range and impressive muzzle velocity.
How should I use it in Warzone? The LC10 is an SMG with above-average range and high stability. The weapon works well as a secondary weapon to an all-around rifle with range or a sniper rifle.
Due to its good control and range, you can cover a large area in close combat with the LC10. It feels quite similar to the MP7 from Modern Warfare when firing, but it doesn’t have the hip-fire strengths.
LC-10 compared to direct competitors
How does the time-to-kill compare? However, the advantages in range and control come at the cost of time-to-kill. When comparing it to the best submachine guns in Warzone, you see the biggest problem of the weapon:

The LC10 is far behind its strong competitors, offering a TTK over 0.6 seconds. That is quite acceptable for all-around weapons with range, but it is not enough to be competitive for an SMG.
Should I use the weapon? Very stable SMGs with a bit more range can offer advantages in some situations, but often you’ll be at a disadvantage. Leave the LC10 in the cabinet if you aim for the best weapons in Warzone, because the “Season 2” SMG cannot keep up.
Warzone: LC-10 Setup
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Barrel: 13.9″ Special Forces
- Stock: SAS Combat Stock
- Underbarrel: SFOD Speed Grip
- Ammunition: STANAG 55-Round
Both weapons from Season 2 of Black Ops Cold War cannot fully convince in Warzone. They are playable and do their job but do not scratch the meta. Although the FARA is actually quite strong, it is overtaken by even stronger competition.
But often it is also a matter of “feeling”. A prime example is the assault rifle Kilo 141. Despite a range nerf, the weapon is still popular because it feels very stable and gives a sense of security. It’s similar with the weapons from Season 2. You trade some security for damage, and if you like the recoil behavior of the weapons, you should also play them. Because a good and secure feeling when firing is also an important value in Warzone.
