Because high damage often comes with some disadvantages. Due to weapon balance, the weapons with the highest damage are usually harder to play or specialized for a specific playstyle.
MeinMMO shows you here the 5 automatic weapons that deal the highest damage per second (DPS) and what role they play in the Battle Royale Warzone. We also list the 5 weapons with the lowest DPS value. The data comes from the Warzone data tool TrueGameData (via truegamedata.com).
In normal multiplayer combat, TTK is often more important as it is calculated from the number of bullets needed for a kill – together with the fire rate. Battles are often 1vs1, and the TTK is lower than in Battle Royale Warzone. You also rarely encounter enemies with less than maximum health.
The DPS value, on the other hand, arises from damage and fire rate, which is then calculated for one second. In Warzone, the DPS value is important because targets can have different health values, and health is generally higher than in multiplayer.
CoD Warzone: The 5 Weapons with the Highest DPS Value
Which weapons have the highest damage in Warzone? As a guideline, we take the damage from chest shots. Only automatic weapons of the assault rifle, submachine gun, and light machine gun categories will make it to the list. Specialists like shotguns or sniper rifles would otherwise dominate the list. However, assault rifles in particular are among the most popular weapons in the game and have a significant impact on weapon selection in Warzone.

How good is the AS VAL in Warzone? The assault rifle is considered a weapon for solo mode, but plays hardly any role in matches with larger teams. This is because the magazine of the AS VAL is tiny. How good is the MG34 in Warzone? With the MG34, a light machine gun sneaks into the list. However, it is unpopular in Warzone because mobility is poor and reloading takes a seemingly eternity – even with the standard magazine, which only holds 50 rounds. If you like LMGs, you should definitely try out the MG34 – it’s also one of the most stable automatic weapons from Modern Warfare.

MP5 from Cold War – The Alternative for Every Close-Quarters Combat
How good is the MP5 from Cold War in Warzone? The “newer” MP5 offers the highest DPS value and the lowest TTK of all submachine guns in Warzone. However, it comes at the cost of noticeable recoil and a short range for its initial damage. After 9 meters, the MP5 from Cold War loses damage. But for house fights and close-range combat, there is hardly a better companion if you don’t want to rely on the mini-range of a shotgun.

MP5 from CoD MW – The Workhorse Since Release

While it doesn’t hit as hard as its “Cold War” sister from the 80s, it has more range and is easier to control.

Fennek – Rate of Fire at its Limit
How good is the Fennek in Warzone? The Fennek fires a lot of bullets in a very short time towards the target and causes considerable damage. Bonus: Sykov Pistol – No One Can Compete
The Sykov Pistol was the last weapon from Modern Warfare to be introduced to Warzone. The pistol has a barrel for automatic fire, which raises the fire rate to 871 rounds per minute. Since the Sykov also offers the Akimbo perk, where you hold two weapons, the fire rate increases to a staggering 1,742 rounds per minute. Within one second, the Sykov Pistol can output 754 burst damage – the top value for automatic weapons in Warzone.

Which weapons have the lowest damage in Warzone? Even for the weapons with low damage, we only consider automatic weapons from the category of assault rifles, submachine guns, and LMGs. The DPS value refers to the burst damage.

The differences are sometimes significant. The AS VAL deals over 65% more damage than the Milano. The MP competitor MP5 from Cold War still comes close to 45% more damage – you should stay away from the Milano. This basically applies to all weapons on our Anti-DPS list.
Bonus: Grau 5.56 Still Rocks the Meta
Damage is not everything in Warzone. 3 of the 5 weapons with the highest damage are not the most popular weapons, and the assault rifle Grau 5.56 proves that other factors play a significant role. The Grau achieves a DPS value of 341, placing it just behind the 5th place of the weak weapons. Nevertheless, it is among the top weapons in Warzone because it is extremely stable and saves an attachment with its very good iron sights (sight and notch).
The Grau is often played with the perk “Fully Loaded,” which fills your assault rifle ammunition to the brim when you take the assault rifle from your loadout crate.
