With Season 2, the developers continue to adjust the weapon balance of Call of Duty Warzone 2. Some of the strongest weapons have been weakened, while others have been strengthened. The developers apparently felt this was not enough, as they made further changes with a small update.
What is this update? On the night of February 24th, the developers released a new patch for CoD Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. The new patch directly follows the release of the major update for Season 2. This update changed many aspects of Warzone. The developers responded to criticism, and the community seems satisfied.
However, the current patch is by no means as large, so you shouldn’t expect long download times. The new patch brings adjustments for some popular weapons. Additionally, there are plenty of smaller bug fixes for Warzone 2 and DMZ. Since a playlist update is also being implemented with the patch, you must restart the game after the download is complete.

Weapon Balance – Popular guns will be further weakened
The key changes from the patch notes are listed in the following section. Unfortunately, compared to Warzone 1, the developers do not provide exact numbers there. How significant the individual adjustments to the weapons will be will only become clear in the coming days and weeks.

- The damage at close range has been reduced
- The muzzle velocity has been reduced
- The last damage range has been reduced
- The movement speed with the weapon has been reduced
In addition to the changes to the various weapons, a popular piece of equipment is also being targeted: The incendiary ammunition will be weakened, meaning the damage tick will no longer knock players down. At the same time, the damage tick will now affect armor plates.
Those of you who are snipers might still dislike these changes. The update ensures that the 1-shot trick with snipers no longer works.

Playlist Update, Bug Fixes and More
With the new patch, the developers are giving the community a small playlist update. While everything remains the same in Al Mazrah and players can continue to play solo, as a duo, trio or quad, there is a new feature in Resurgence.
The Resurgence mode has been given the option for solo play. You can now also have fun on Ashika Island all by yourself. The new map has also received a small update. The developers have changed the positions of some geographical objects on the map. As a result, you will have more cover in the future.
As with all smaller updates for Call of Duty, there have also been a handful of bug fixes this time. For example, a bug was fixed that caused players to be kicked from the game for inactivity in the ranked mode of multiplayer, even though they were actively participating in the match.
