Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 arrives on February 15, bringing a new map to the game – Ashika Island for Battle Royale and DMZ. There are already over 50 images, and MeinMMO is gathering all the info about the new, small Warzone map.
With Season 2 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2, a touch of nostalgia flows through the Battle Royale. Many changes are coming that will return some mechanics to the familiar flow of Warzone 1. These include:
- Everyone always has 3 armor plate slots
- Loadout drops return twice per match
- There are no more backpacks
- Gulag back to 1vs1 with a flag at the end
However, even in content, familiar concepts are being used. Warzone 2 brings a small map for the popular respawn modes. Here, team members return multiple times during a match as long as at least one member of the team is still alive.
Even with the new map Ashika Island, familiar elements are being utilized – images of the map show parts of the old CoD map “Castle.” What is known about the map so far, we show you on MeinMMO. You can watch the short teaser here:

What is known so far about Ashika Island? Early leaks for Season 2 painted a picture of a Japan-influenced season theme. The leaks promised Operator Ronin, the map “Castle” for the multiplayer of CoD MW2, and a small Warzone map.
At least for the Warzone part, it can now be said: The information appears to have been very accurate. The respawn mode (Resurgence) is coming directly along with the new map at the season start on February 15. Additionally, the small map is also coming for the DMZ mode.
