A trick shot is considered legendary in the Battlefield community. A CoD streamer has attempted it and is being criticized for the attempt.
Who is it about? V1nKub is an Austrian content creator, known mainly for his videos and Twitch streams about Call of Duty: Warzone.
- In his streams, he has an average of over 1,200 viewers and consistently reaches 20,000 to 80,000 views with his videos – sometimes more, sometimes less.
- In his videos, he showcases strong loadouts or better settings for the respective games, as well as content meant to entertain – including beautiful kills or funny microphone recordings of German-speaking players.
- He even interviewed a cheat developer who sells cheating software for games like CoD.
In recent weeks, V1nKub primarily played Battlefield 6 and frequently heard in the comments on various social media platforms that he should go back to Call of Duty. But now the streamer attempted a legendary trick shot that many Battlefield players work towards and hoped to gain the respect of the community with it.
CoD streamer achieves half a Battlefield trick shot
What was special about the shot? V1nKub attempted the so-called RendeZook during a Twitch stream – and was at least partially successful.
The RendeZook is a legendary trick shot where the player exits the jet/airplane mid-flight, shoots down an enemy jet with the unguided rocket launcher, and re-enters their aircraft. The trick shot was invented almost 14 years ago by the YouTuber Stun_gravy, who combined the terms rendezvous and bazooka (Zook) since the trick shot consists of the bazooka shot and the rendezvous with their own jet as a result of the shot.
V1nKub achieved this trick shot halfway during his live broadcast: During a match on Operation Firestorm, he baited an enemy jet behind him, exited his jet, and shot down the opposing jet with an unguided RPG – but failed to get back into his jet.
Here you can watch the clip of V1nKub on TikTok:
On TikTok, the streamer proudly commented on the clip: “Now at least I’ve earned a LITTLE respect from the Battlefield community, right?”, referring to the many comments that have been telling him in recent days and weeks to go back to Call of Duty.
However, part of the Battlefield community saw the “respect” differently and criticized the streamer for his attempt, rather than enjoying the fact that he, as a CoD streamer, is trying something so special for Battlefield players.
Why are Battlefield fans complaining? In the comments, users write that they did that 10 years ago. Others say that with a half trick shot he is not one of them and that “a real Battlefield player” would have gotten back into the jet.
The comments criticize mainly that it is not a complete RendeZook – which the streamer also did not claim. On the contrary, during the stream he asked his chat for tips on how to re-enter the jet to complete the RendeZook.
Besides the RendeZook, other old tricks are also possible in Battlefield 6, which veterans of the shooter series have known and used for many years. One particularly helpful trick is when you need to dispose of an enemy tank: You can safely take out enemy tanks in Battlefield 6 from cover, even if that is actually not your job
