How do I unlock the Minibak? The submachine gun is available in the game. However, there is a bug in the weapon platforms display, which does not correctly highlight how to unlock the weapon. Here’s how it’s done:
CoD MW2: Unlock Minibak
- Reach Rank 23 – unlock Assault Rifle Kastov 762
- Play Kastov 762 at Rank 11 – unlock Kastov 545
- Play Kastov 545 at Rank 13 – unlock Kastov-74U
- Play Kastov-74U at Rank 18
The Minibak is now unlocked.

CoD MW2: Minibak Setup – Large Magazine and Good Range
The Minibak has gained some fans in Modern Warfare 2 shortly after its release. It is praised for its low recoil, decent range, and its large standard magazine with 64 rounds.

With this setup, you have a powerful submachine gun that allows for accurate hits at long distances. However, in close combat, it often falls short compared to competitors. You trade damage for range and a large magazine.
The bug will likely be fixed by the start of Season 1 at the latest. The developers have noted several things they want to address – balance adjustments, hardcore modes, bug fixes, and not least the release of Warzone 2.0.
