What kind of update is this? These are update files for the campaign of Modern Warfare 2 as well as the Day-1 patch for the complete game. This has surprised many players, as these were not announced but released suddenly.
Soon, the official release of Modern Warfare 2 approaches, along with the multiplayer mode. The patch could still fix some bugs in the game before the gates are opened for shooter enthusiasts.

Important information about update 1.03 and the Day-1 patch
How many GB does the patch require? So far, only the information for PlayStation is known, which we can see on our console. Here’s what we know:
- PlayStation 5
- Campaign Pack 1: 9.786 GB
- Campaign Pack 2: 7.752 GB
- Patch: 17.540 GB

What about the other platforms? So far, no updates have been released for PC and Xbox. If new information arises, we will list it here.
What do the patch notes say? So far, there are no patch notes for the Day-1 patch. If new information comes up, we will update it here. However, we assume that Activision will fix bugs to ensure that Modern Warfare 2 runs smoothly at release.
