CoD MW2: Season 1 – Battle Pass
When does the Battle Pass start? Together with Season 1 on November 16. If you purchased the Vault Edition, you will also level up a few tiers right away.
What is the Battle Pass? You exchange playtime for exclusive cosmetics that are only available through the respective Battle Pass of a season. The pass is expected to cost 1,000 CoD points (around €10) and allows you to earn over 100 items, including cosmetics, but also XP tokens or CoD points.
There are also some free tiers that all players can unlock – including the new weapons. But most tiers are behind the paywall of 1,000 CoD points.
What’s included in the Battle Pass? Since it’s the first Battle Pass of CoD MW2, we can’t say for sure yet. However, based on experiences from the past years, you can expect the following items:
- 2 new weapons for Warzone
- A new operator
- Legendary rewards upon completion of the pass
- Many operator skins with missions for even more skins
- Cosmetics like calling cards, emblems, sprays, and charms
- Vehicle items like battle songs or skins
- XP tokens for an experience points boost
- 10% experience boost on the Battle Pass
- 1,300 CoD points
In recent years, it has always been the case that you could earn more CoD points than the pass cost. A quite fair system, but it requires many hours of gameplay.
Who will be the poster-boy / poster-girl of Season 1? Each season features one or more operators in focus, who simultaneously advance the story. There is no information on this yet, but we expect the CoD villain Makarov.
CoD MW2: Season 1 – Battle Pass and new content
Season 1 starts for us on November 17, and if you’ve played CoD in recent years, you already know the procedure.
Each season brings new content to the game; new maps and weapons are basically always there. The Spec-Ops mode also benefits and receives new missions.
Additionally, a Battle Pass starts with 100 tiers – here you get cosmetics in exchange for playtime. Some tiers are free, but most are behind a paywall – the Battle Pass costs 1,000 CoD points (about €10).
The first season of CoD MW2 is still somewhat special. Because at the same time, Warzone 2.0 starts – the free Battle Royale. More information about the new Warzone can be found here.
CoD MW2: Mid-Season 1 – Raids
The next phase of Season 1 launches for us on December 15. The highlight will likely be the raids – a new PvE activity for 3 players. This will likely work very similarly to Destiny.
For the mid-season, a “legendary multiplayer map” has also been announced. Here, an old CoD map from CoD MW2 that has been revamped will likely appear.
As soon as there is more information about the content after the release, we will report on it on MeinMMO. If you’ve already played a few rounds, leave a comment with your impressions.
