Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone released a small playlist update this morning (June 24, 8 AM) changing the loot weapons in Battle Royale and the new mode in multiplayer. Here are the details.
Why another playlist update? The new update is significantly smaller than the changes on Tuesday, June 23. That update refreshed the entire multiplayer playlist and even introduced a brand new mode to the rotation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Everything or Nothing.
This update was specifically aimed at that mode. There was also a small change in the loot weapons in Warzone. Here is the official announcement from Infinity Ward on Twitter:
It states: “A quick playlist update is now live on all platforms to adjust the following:
- All uncommon and rare burst versions (green and blue) of the M4 assault rifle from Warzone loot have been removed
- Parties are allowed in the “Everything or Nothing” playlist

Do I need to download anything? For the 2 small changes, you don’t need to start a large download. As with other updates where CoD only changes the game modes, it all happens automatically.
What was changed in the new mode? In the brand new mode “Everything or Nothing,” you can now play alongside your teammate – or actually more against each other.
The mode is structured like a “Free-for-All” match and you can typically only start “FFAs” alone. But after the update, you can take your entire squad into the survival mode.
What’s up with the M4? In Warzone, you will now have fewer burst weapons at your disposal.
Since the start of Season 4, the popular M4A1 has been increasingly found as loot in Battle Royale. Unfortunately, almost all M4 versions that you could find now had the burst mode. This can become a big problem in critical situations if one does not pay attention to which fire mode the weapon is currently shooting in.
With the removal of the rarer versions of the M4, you will now find them less frequently on the ground. The M4 with burst mode has been heavily criticized since its introduction as standard in Warzone. The loot at the beginning of a match could therefore become more pleasant again.
What do players say about it? Finding feedback on the two changes is not that easy. The comment with the most upvotes (892, June 24, 4:45 PM) simply reads: “Shipment 24/7”.
Under the tweet about the update, there are occasionally comments like “Finally! Please never add burst M4s again,” but most comments are calling for the popular Shipment 24/7 playlist to return, preferably also in combination with Shoot House.
Another very popular comment is ” Grau nerf in the next update?” The developers have already announced that there will be some balance adjustments in the mid-season update of Season 4. The weapon is considered particularly strong in Battle Royale and many kills currently go to the assault rifle. By the way, the user did not get an answer to his question.
The adjustments to the burst M4 are generally well received, but many players currently wish for something else.
