In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players can enhance their weapons with cool skins and show off – only after hard work do they get the coolest rewards. In Season 3, a new reward is added for the toughest players.
This rare reward awaits you: In Call of Duty Modern Warfare, your weapons are in full focus. You can customize them exactly to your wishes with numerous attachments, sights, magazines and more. But not only the lethality of the firearms can be customized, but also their appearance.
Soon, there will be another weapon skin that the toughest players have been eagerly waiting for: the Master Camo. Anyone who enhances their gun with this rare camouflage immediately makes it clear what kind of beast they are.
The hunt for rare skins is one of the carrots in front of the noses of “Call of Duty” players. Staying true to the motto: Show me your weapon and I’ll tell you who you are, players flaunt their achievements. On the other hand, some players crave the tough challenges associated with acquiring the cool camouflage – an additional motivation, then.
Gold, Platinum, Damascus, Master – How does the new skin fit in?
These rare skins are already in the game and push players to their limits:
- Gold (complete all spray categories for a weapon)
- Platinum (unlock all gold skins for a weapon class)
- Damascus (unlock all platinum skins for all weapons)
It is estimated that a Gold skin corresponds to about 18 hours of gameplay, Damascus takes a meager 700-800 hours of hard grind.
What are the requirements for the Master Camo? Anyone who wants to embark on the hunt for the coveted Master Camo needs the Gold skin of the respective weapon. Platinum or even Damascus are not necessary, as these are tasks for a specific firearm and not an entire class.
So if you have an absolute favorite weapon, you don’t need to level up unwanted guns before you can bleed through the new “Master Camo” challenge. However, how exactly the new challenge will work or what the skin looks like in-game is currently unknown. We will keep you updated on MeinMMO.
When will it be ready? If you want to earn the Master Camo, you won’t have to wait much longer. In the middle of Season 3, the new challenge will be available to all players.
Taking a look at the current Battle Pass of CoD MW, the season ends in early June. So we expect the Master Camo in May, possibly as early as late April.
Where do the infos come from? The information is not unofficial leaks, but statements from Joe Cecot. He is the Design Director at Infinity Ward and addressed fan questions via Twitter. During this, the topic of Master Camo was discussed and explained in several tweets.
He not only discussed the release timeframe but also mentioned, among other things, “it will take a long time” before players have actually completed all the challenges of the Master Camo.
It is quite possible that the skin for the toughest CoD players will come with another feature into the game. During Season 3, the so-called “Gunsmith Customs” (like gunsmith adjustments) are expected. It is speculated that you can customize your weapons even better, and the Master Camo fits like a glove.
