In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the trailer for Season 2 has even been leaked early. However, the upcoming new season has still not been officially introduced. Infinity Ward doesn’t have much time left.
What is known about Season 2 so far? Officially not really much. Basically only,
- that the Season 2 will likely start on February 11th, which is tomorrow
- that a new operator will be added with the cult character Ghost
- and that there will be a new Battle Pass
That was it for official statements.
Recently, there was a leak on the official site. Numerous Informationen about Modern Warfare Season 2 were apparently posted online by accident and prematurely but soon disappeared again.
Since then, players have been eagerly awaiting the official reveal and a roadmap for Season 2. However, there is still no sign of this even a day before the start of the new season.
What is the new trailer leak about? Ahead of the highly anticipated reveal, the official trailer for Season 2 has been leaked early via an Xbox account. Although it has since been deleted, some players managed to download and thus capture the trailer.

What does the new trailer for Season 2 show? First of all, the video confirms the start date of Season 2. Although it has been hinted at multiple times, it is now certain – the new Season 2 starts on February 11th.
What else is in it?
- A closer look at Ghost, the new operator from the Season 2 Battle Pass
- New multiplayer maps where you will soon be able to have fun in standard formats like Team Deathmatch or Domination: the popular and already leaked Rust as well as the map Atlas Superstore – a kind of hardware store or warehouse.
- Furthermore, there is a new firefight map Bazaar and a new map for the large 64-player mode Ground War. This is called Zhokov Boneyard and takes place in a junkyard with many containers and airplane wrecks.
- Additionally, a closer look at the two new weapons from Season 2. These are the Grau 5.56, an assault rifle in the style of the Sig 552 Commando, and the Striker 45, a submachine gun that is reminiscent of the HK UMP 45.
- Some skins from the new Battle Pass are also visible.
When will Season 2 finally be officially introduced? Many details about the new Modern Warfare Season 2 are already known.
However, many are still eagerly awaiting the reveal. Because it usually turns out to be more extensive and also offers some kind of roadmap so that players know when to expect what. And not least due to a potential Battle Royale.
Infinity Ward and Activision don’t have much time left for that. Tomorrow, February 11th, probably around 7:00 PM German time, Season 2 starts.
A reveal is therefore due either tonight or at the latest tomorrow morning. Then we should finally learn more details about the new season.
