A curious and unintended kill was landed by a player in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. He took out an opponent with a riot shield, even though he had the wrong equipment.

The clip on reddit has already received over 15,000 upvotes (as of June 19 at 3:30 PM) and is celebrated by many viewers.
Confusion led to the curious kill

The player was in Search & Destroy mode on the map Gun Runner and encountered an opponent with a riot shield. He wanted to blow him up with a Semtex.
However, he realized that he didn’t have a Semtex and accidentally placed a Claymore right in front of his face.
Since he was facing a hopeless fight, he decided to flee. As he looked back at the opponent who wanted to attack him, he ran straight into the Claymore.
The unintended explosive trap took out the shield bearer after all, even though that wasn’t the plan. The lifeless body of the unfortunate player then spectacularly flew out of the frame.
What are viewers’ reactions to this? The clip is well-received by players and the shield bearer has to hear quite a lot, like: “What an idiot, he saw you put the Claymore there.”
