On February 11, the new Season 2 is expected to launch in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Until then, there is double XP on everything and a rotation of the playlist that will include two popular game modes this time.
What will change next week? Infinity Ward, the developers of Modern Warfare, reached out to players in a community update. This also included content for the current week (starting February 3).
With the playlist update on Tuesday, February 4, the two high-octane modes Shipment 24/7 and Shoothouse 24/7 were introduced.
Additionally, a generous event for the final push of Season 1 will begin on Wednesday, February 5 at 7 PM:
- Double XP
- Double Weapon XP
- Double Battle Pass Points
These contents are meant to bridge the time until the new Season 2 is expected to start on February 11. Many already anticipate the new Battle Royale for Modern Warfare at the start of the season.
Support Action in Australia and Popular Bugs
Known Error Messages: In the letter to players, Infinity Ward also shared some information about known bugs.
With the update from last week, an error message appeared regarding the resetting of combat statistics. Those who pressed “Yes” there may have reset their custom loadouts, operator customizations, and field upgrades to default values.
The combat statistics should be restored, but you will have to make the adjustments yourself again.

What else did the community update include? At the end of the message, the developers expressed their gratitude regarding the action related to the bushfires in Australia. A special “Outback Relief” package was created for this.
The action ended on January 31, and the exact proceeds are expected to be announced next week.
