The developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are slowly coming back from the holidays and one of the responsible parties has already hinted at some changes for multiplayer on Twitter. You can find out about the 3 changes, including further details, here.
The action-packed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is constantly being developed, receiving content, and the developers are trying to quickly get to the bottom of bugs and errors. The folks at Infinity Ward also regularly address the wishes of the players.
Joe Cecot is in charge of multiplayer matters at Infinity Ward, the developers of Modern Warfare, and has now announced 3 possible changes that are all requested by the players.

Infinity Ward announces changes on Twitter
Where does the information come from? Joe Cecot interacts a lot with the players via Twitter, and when he is allowed to release new information, he also likes to share it with the community.
He has already announced a 1vs1 Gunfight mode or provided information about the contents of updates.
Cecot was again active on Twitter and posted a few tweets about possible changes to the game. Specifically, it concerns:
- New Cranked game modes
- Improvement of the trophy system
- More space for loadouts
Cranked game modes in new format
What is Cranked? The game mode is called “Aufgeputscht” in German and can well be referred to as an anti-camper mode.
The first “Cranked” mode was a TDM. Each time you got a kill, your mobility stats were increased, and a timer began counting down from 30 seconds.
When the timer hit 0, it went “Boom” and the game sent you back to the spawn screen with a “suicide.”
What has been announced now? Cecot responded to a user on Twitter that there are already considerations to include the Cranked modifier in other game modes as well.
The Twitter user “Marley” suggests a mix of “Cranked” and the popular Gun Game. In this mode, the weapons change with each kill as usual, but once you lose the Cranked status, the weapons reset again.
To which Cecot responded:
We have already talked about variations or other game modes with the “Cranked” modifier. […] I am sure that we will do such things in the future 🙂

When will the new modes arrive? There was no statement on that. Although Cecot confirmed in the tweet that work is being done on something similar, when the Cranked modes will actually conquer the playlist is still in the stars.
Trophy system gets buffed
How does the trophy system work? This defensive system destroys explosive devices or weapons that come too close to the device.
The trophy system is a field upgrade and can be placed on the map. If you expect a hostile grenade or a shot from a rocket launcher from a certain direction, you can place this gadget to destroy up to 3 enemy projectiles.
What do you think of the new information? Is something from your wish list on the update list or are you still waiting for something very specific?
What is being requested? The user “jalan hart” complained on Twitter that explosives disabled by the trophy device still inflict damage. Also, even with the EOD perk, it still hurts quite a lot when using a trophy system. Moreover, it takes too long for him to activate the device.
To which Cecot responded:
The intention is to make a more forgiving grenade counter. When trophies were introduced with MW3, they inflicted a constant damage of 30 (I believe) to explosive materials and in a small radius around them. But that was a while ago. I will take a look at the current damage and see how it looks now.

Will the change come? Cecot promised to take a look at the trophies, suggesting that this field upgrade will be revised. However, whether the trophies will actually be buffed is still unclear.
More space for loadouts
What does it bring me? Currently, you can only save 5 individual loadouts in multiplayer, and many players find that insufficient. With the change, Modern Warfare wants to provide you with more slots for your own classes.
What has been requested? The desire for more loadout slots has been circulating through the community for a long time and has finally been heard. On Twitter, “Jarryd Barnes” casually asked when there will finally be extra class slots, as loadouts are also called.
To which Cecot responded:
Should be released in January. But I don’t have an exact date 🙂

When will the change come? Cecot states in another tweet that an update will be released during this week, but the new classes don’t seem to have found a place yet.
At least the additional slots are confirmed for January, and you can look forward to a gear puzzle afternoon to fill the new classes with various secret weapons or crazy loadouts.
What do you think of the new information? Is something from your wish list on the update list or are you still waiting for something very specific?
