In September, the Open Beta for the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019 starts. A special feature is crossplay with PC and consoles.
How does the Open Beta of Modern Warfare work? The beta will roll out in phases over two weekends. The first weekend is exclusively for players on the PS4.
If you are playing on PC or Xbox One, you will have to wait until the second weekend to participate in the public test.
But the second weekend follows just one week after the first. So you won’t have to wait long and can stop envying PS4 players.
Sign up for the Beta: Those who pre-order Modern Warfare will gain early access to the Open Beta. It is still unclear how one can participate in the open beta without pre-ordering.
When does the Open Beta for Modern Warfare start? The open beta starts on September 12, 2019, and you can participate.
Weekend 1 – Only for PlayStation:
- September 12 to September 13 PS4 Early Access
- September 14 to September 16 PS4 Open Beta
Weekend 2: PlayStation, Xbox One, PC (Blizzard Battle.Net)
- September 19 to September 20 Early Access on Xbox One and PC, Open Beta on PS4
- September 21 to September 23 Open Beta on PS4, Xbox One, and PC
What time the beta dates start is still unclear. The Modern Warfare team will announce the times as the start date approaches.
Is there crossplay? Yes! In the stream, the Infinity Ward team announced that there will be crossplay between PC and consoles already in the open beta.
Even at the launch of Modern Warfare, there is expected to be crossplay available right from the start. This means you can play together with your friends on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
The crossplay feature was previously confirmed by an Infinity Ward employee. It was previously unclear whether there would be crossplay at launch.
When is the release of Modern Warfare? The launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is on October 25, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
