A series of kills like this was probably not expected by the Twitch streamer Shroud in the beta Call of Duty: Modern Warfare as he eliminated an entire enemy team in close combat.
This is Shroud: The Twitch streamer is one of the most well-known faces in the shooter genre. He became famous as a Counterstrike pro and made a name for himself on Twitch as an incredibly strong player.
After recently taking a beating against current CoD pros, he is now showing his skills, even though luck was a big factor here.
This is how an entire enemy team is eliminated spectacularly
Watch the clip here: After Shroud runs around the map for a short time, he suddenly encounters a nest full of enemies. They don’t really notice him, allowing him to take out 7 opponents in just 7 seconds:
Shroud himself can hardly believe what just happened. After all, he only used close combat to eliminate the opponents. He laughed in disbelief after his kills and said: “Oh my God”.
Why does this even work? The main reason is probably the massive game mode Shroud was playing in. He played Ground War, the 64-player mode in Modern Warfare.
This was available for the first time in the last phase of the beta and let players engage in large 32 vs. 32 battles. So, it was logical that soldiers would gather in certain corners, making such a kill not too unrealistic.
Can I play Ground Wars too? This mode was part of the beta, which ends today, September 23. After that, there are currently no further dates announced for Ground War to return. You will probably have to wait until October 25, as that’s when Modern Warfare officially releases.
A map list for Modern Warfare has also been leaked:
