The developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare have announced another (this time large) update for the ongoing week. Now it has arrived. We summarize what is known so far about the new patch.
Did Modern Warfare just have an update? Yes, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received a hotfix on November 19. However, this was just server-side changes, players did not need to download anything.
During this, some critical bugs were fixed, and there were adjustments for some weapons, such as the now third nerf of the 725 shotgun.
UPDATE – November 22, 09:15 AM: The update 1.09 for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is now available. On PlayStation 4, the patch is about 13 GB, on PC approximately 21 GB.

What’s in the new update for Modern Warfare?
What is the new update about? Many players were disappointed that only a few issues were addressed. However, the developers clarified that the fix only targeted the most urgent issues and that another update is coming this week – this time a more extensive one (probably update 1.09)
When exactly is the new update coming? Officially, it has only been said so far “this week” and “in the next few days”. A specific date has not yet been announced.
However, it can be assumed with great certainty that the new patch will be released before the weekend. Therefore, Thursday (November 21) or Friday (November 22) around 7:00 PM German time are the possible release times.
Patch notes for the new Modern Warfare update are more than 2 pages long
What is in the new update? Are there patch notes? Not much is known about the full scope yet. The patch notes are not available yet either. However, it can be assumed that the new update will be large and will include many changes.
Communications Manager Ashton Williams noted on Twitter that the patch notes alone are just over two pages long. A lot of good stuff is included.
Additionally, some content has already been confirmed through previous announcements and tweets:
- The kill feed will be cleaned up and made clearer.
- The so-called spectator glitch will be fixed, allowing players to take an extensive look at the map upon death in numerous multiplayer modes before the camera switches to a teammate. Thus, they unintentionally gain information about their enemies.
- Another fix will address the field equipment Dead Silence. There is a bug that causes Dead Silence to expire immediately upon activation without being usable.
- There will also be fixes for perks, options for private matches, additional weapons, and more.
A complete listing of all changes is expected to arrive only with the official patch notes. These are expected later today.
