Beta content officially announced: For a long time, it was unclear which content the Modern Warfare Beta would include. While there were smaller info snippets, an official overview was lacking until now. That has now changed.
Shortly before the start of the Modern Warfare Multiplayer Beta on September 12, Activision has now announced the playable content in a blog and provided a first glimpse of it in a trailer. We show you what you can look forward to during the beta.

What’s included in the Modern Warfare Beta: From fast 2vs2 battles to traditional 6vs6 gameplay to large-scale fights, there should be something for everyone. Players can look forward to the following modes and features during the multiplayer beta:
- 2vs2 Gunfight mode
- Fights on 6vs6 maps
- Modes with higher player counts (Ground War)
- The new Gunsmith customization system for weapons
- and more

What does the trailer show? In addition to the dynamic match entry via helicopter, there are also some quick combat scenes, a night map using night vision goggles, and the iconic Harrier kill streak.
In addition, there is finally a first look at Ground War, the largest mode of the Modern Warfare multiplayer. Large groups of players fight there using vehicles and helicopters – close to the style of Battlefield. Quads are also used there.
How can you participate in the beta? The Modern Warfare Beta starts on September 12 and offers all interested parties the chance to get a first impression of the multiplayer of the latest series installment before its release.
The beta is divided into 2 phases and is basically open to all players after the pre-order early access. Phase 1 is PS4-exclusive, phase 2 is aimed at interested parties on all platforms – including PC and Xbox One.
