Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 – 16 classic maps return
Where does the information come from? While the CoD community was preparing for the big reveal event for Modern Warfare 3, there was suddenly a surprising announcement that caused a stir.
Through a marketing initiative by Activision and Sledgehammer (via CharlieIntel), it was confirmed that all 16 maps will be reimagined from the iconic Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 from 2009 and will be available in the upcoming Modern Warfare 3.
All maps have been revamped and feature new modes and gameplay features. For many fans of the shooter series, these maps are among their favorites.
These are the reimagined 16 maps from Modern Warfare 2 that will make a comeback in classic 6v6 multiplayer:

- Derail
- Estate
- Favela
- Highrise
- Invasion
- Karachi
- Quarry
- Rundown
- Rust
- Scrapyard
- Skidrow
- Sub Base
- Terminal
- Underpass
- Wasteland
Additionally, map voting is returning, which many players have wished for years. You will be able to vote on which map you play next.
Furthermore, you can look forward to zombie fun and Ground War maps. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, there will be a massive zombie map. You can team up with others to survive and discover missions and secrets.
