A new video has been released for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It is not perceived so poorly by the community.
When the reveal trailer for Infinite Warfare was released a few months ago, things did not look rosy for the upcoming “Call of Duty” installment. This trailer was harshly criticized by the community and received over three million dislikes.
This miserable criticism has several reasons, but perhaps the most decisive one is the pronounced futuristic setting, which does not resonate well with fans. It seems Battlefield 1 has captured the zeitgeist better with its “World War I” scenario.
Is the perception of Infinite Warfare changing now?
Recently, the developers presented a new video showcasing an in-game cinematic sequence:
A key moment in the game is shown: Lt. Reyes, the playable character, is promoted to Captain after all superiors have died. The video is low on action, but significant dialogues take place.
An interesting observation is that this video is not mercilessly hated – at least not to the extent of the previous reveals. The positive votes actually outweigh the negative ones. At the time of writing this article, nearly 17,000 users have left a thumbs up and not even 6,000 a thumbs down.
Note: Above, we have embedded the version with German subtitles. However, even in this case, the positive ratings are in the majority.
