In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone , Activision promised owners of the Battle Pass a nice gift. However, the execution is lacking. Players complain that they have not received the 10 free tier levels worth €15. Apparently, it affects players who are already nearing the end of the Battle Pass. Now, Activision has extended an XP event.
This was Activision’s promise: We reported yesterday that Activision promised: All owners of a Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare get 10 levels for free. The pass also counts for Warzone. There was also a detailed guide on how to get these levels. If purchased, these levels would cost approximately €15.
The levels were meant to help players complete the Battle Pass of Season 2 and claim the cosmetic rewards .
The idea was:
- Everyone at or below tier 90 in the Battle Pass gets the 10 levels
- Everyone above level 90 completes the Season 2 Battle Pass with 100 levels, and the excess levels count for the Problems for Players at the End of the Battle Pass
This is now the problem: As some users report, even on MeinMMO, they are not receiving these levels for some unexplained reason. Not even after multiple attempts and calling higher powers.
It is noticeable that many of the players who are complaining have already reached level 91 or higher in the Battle Pass. Thus, these are the players who should actually be reaching tier 100 now and getting the excess levels credited for the next Battle Pass.
On Reddit, as well as on MeinMMO, many of those who are experiencing issues say they are above level 90.
This is what Activision says: They admitted: Yes, there is this problem. Some players are not receiving the tier levels. However, they did not specify whether it only affects players above tier 91 in the Battle Pass or others as well.

The problem is on Infinity Ward’s “We are working on it” plan in yellow – “In Progress.” Infinity Ward has listed this problem on their Trello board for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It is an issue they are working on that currently affects “some players”.

Time is Ticking for the Problem
It is somewhat delicate that the Season 3 in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone starts already on Wednesday. Therefore, players only have a few days left to redeem the free levels and complete the pass. Thus, there is a certain time pressure – perhaps Activision will extend the event even further.
No Solution Yet and Time is Running Out – XP Event Extended
Update 7.4. 11:10 AM: There is now a statement from the developers, but still no solution. Community Manager Ashton Williams said on Saturday, April 4, that they are working on the issue.
However, time is running out, as Season 3 is supposed to begin on Wednesday. Additionally, there are issues with Xbox players unable to access the UDT Ghost Bundle. Infinity Ward is also working on that but cannot yet provide a solution.
Another problem has at least been compensated by Infinity Ward: Some players did not receive EXP over the weekend and could not make any progress.
To compensate for this, Infinity Ward announced that an existing event has been extended. The “event” gives double EXP, double weapon EXP, and double tier EXP until Wednesday morning at 8:00 AM German time. Infinity Ward announced this on the night from Monday to Tuesday.
