The challenges are specific tasks that reward you with plenty of additional XP or extra merit points and cool calling cards upon success. The Dark Ops Challenges represent a series of special tasks whose requirements are secret and will only be revealed once you have successfully completed them. How to Complete All Dark Ops Challenges in the Blackout Mode of Black Ops 4
There are a total of 9 hidden secret challenges in the proprietary battle royale mode Blackout. Here you will learn where to find them and what exactly you need to do to successfully complete them and secure your rewards.
By the way: In Blackout, unfortunately, you do not immediately find out if you have successfully completed the respective challenge. You have to wait until the end of a match until you receive a notification. Only then do you have 100% certainty.
Practice Makes Perfect
For this challenge, you need to hit a practice target from a distance of 90 meters at the firing range.
The long firing range in the north of the range is suitable for this. The weapon does not matter. You can solve this challenge with a pistol just as well as with a sniper including a scope.
Take a few shots at a target of your choice. If it spins, you have hit it, and the challenge should be complete. According to player reports, it is not necessary to hit the bullseye. However, to be completely sure, you should still aim as centrally as possible.
Zombie Jam
For this challenge, you need to activate the jukebox in the diner.
Once you arrive at this fast-food restaurant, you just need to go inside and interact with the unmistakable jukebox.
Once you have done that, music will play, and you have successfully completed the challenge.
Red Light, Green Light
This challenge requires you to be the first to find and loot a supply crate in the Cargo Docks area, which can spawn at one of three possible positions.
The crate is underwater and appears beneath one of the 3 buoys that float in the water at the Cargo Docks. Once you have found it, you only need to loot it. The content of the crate is not important.
For this challenge, you just need to be quick. Otherwise, it can be completed relatively quickly.
Open The Blast Doors
In this challenge, you need to open the protective gates at the Fracking Tower.
Once you arrive in the area, you need to go to the building in the middle of the industrial site with the distinctive tower numbered 58.
Once you are inside, you just need to activate the unmistakable switch. This will open the protective doors in the facility’s floor.
You can also open the room in the underground part of the facility, but if you go through the control room of the tower, you can hardly miss the switch.
Back in the Ground
This challenge requires you to kill 100 zombies in Blackout. You can find most of them in the Asylum area.
You do not have to get all the kills in one match. As soon as you have taken down a total of 100 undead, the challenge is complete.
Stay Tuned
Here you need to activate the emergency radio transmission at the antenna in the Array area.
To do this, you must go to the central building with the radar dish and visit the control room there.
You will recognize the control room by the numerous control consoles located there.
Now search for a console with an unmistakable green light. Interact with this control unit, and you activate the emergency transmission. The challenge is done.
Respect Your Elders
Here you must pay your respects to Tanbor Fudgely.
Head to the small village by the bridge connecting the areas Fracking Tower and Turbine. There you will find a monument.
Once you have found it, stand on the last stone slab in front of this monument and interact with it.
Your character should bow in front of the portrait plate on the monument, and the challenge is complete.
Baller
For this challenge, you must demonstrate your basketball skills.
To do this, find a basketball hoop and a ball. Interact with the ball and pick it up. With the next button press, you can throw it. As soon as you succeed in scoring, you have also mastered this challenge.
Fist Fighter
The last Dark Ops Challenge is also the hardest. Because you must defeat an enemy with your bare fists.
With fists, you hardly deal any damage. So you need to be quick and catch someone who hasn’t picked up a weapon or armor yet. Otherwise, you basically have no chance.
By the way: it doesn’t count in team modes to down someone with firearms and then finish them off with fists. The game demands a clean fistfight here.
