What do we know so far about Call of Duty 2020? Not much really. Officially, we currently know nothing except that there will be a new Call of Duty in 2020. What’s new now? Now TheGamingRevolution claims to have learned numerous new details about CoD 2020 and has published a new video on YouTube. These include alleged information about the campaign, multiplayer, zombies mode, and possibly also battle royale.
What the leak reveals about Call of Duty 2020
CoD 2020 will be a Black Ops: TheGamingRevolution also states that Call of Duty 2020 will be a reboot of Call of Duty: Black Ops, with the series returning to its roots and taking players to the Cold War era.
Moreover, the next CoD is said to utilize the new engine introduced by Infinity Ward with Modern Warfare.
The following details were revealed:
Multiplayer:
- Large multiplayer modes (32vs32) are making a return.
- There will be an icy Ground War map (Ground War) set in Vietnam, where you can move around with snowmobiles and tanks.
- 6vs6 maps will offer 3 lanes and reflect the Treyarch formula more strongly, meaning they won’t be as packed.
- One 6vs6 map is set around a warehouse, featuring an open field as the middle lane and a sniper tower.
- Health regeneration is no longer automatic (but still depends on player feedback).
- Drones, counter-drones, and dogs are returning as killstreaks.
- Some operators from Modern Warfare will also return.
- Multiplayer DLCs will be free and utilize a similar model as Modern Warfare. There will also be no more supply drops.
Zombies:
- Different gameplay styles are to be enabled. Zombies is said to play differently than the previous versions of the popular mode.

What about Warzone? Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale that was introduced with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. But what does that have to do with Black Ops?
No more detailed information is available, but TheGamingRevolution claims to have learned that Sledgehammer is working on a free-to-play “Call of Duty” game that is set to be released in 2021 (previously they were responsible for CoD 2020). This game is supposed to include many battle royale elements and feature some form of open world.
However, this is not meant to be the main CoD for 2021. Therefore, the leaker considers it possible that this game will then be added to the Warzone client as a new map of sorts, thus expanding Call of Duty’s new battle royale.
