PC bargain hunters repeatedly find that good deals are not exclusively available online. Retailers regularly offer systems at significant discounts to clear their stock and make room for new items.

740 Euro gaming PC costs more online than in the supermarket
What kind of PC is this? In a local supermarket, the Reddit user Fragrant_Jaguar2440 found a discounted offer for a gaming PC. A sign with a price reduced by nearly 200 euros and an overview of the installed components piqued the user’s interest.

The unaware user was not immediately clear whether a price of 740 euros really represented a good deal. As he had never owned a computer before, he decided to ask the Reddit community for advice in order to avoid typical beginner mistakes.
How much money does he save with this purchase? He shared his find with the community on Reddit and asked whether he should buy the gaming PC for the mentioned amount. In the online shop of the retailer, the computer was still listed at the time for approximately 930 euros.
Is that a good purchase? I have a little idea of the technical specifications, but I am unsure about the price. I would use the PC for schoolwork and games like Minecraft.

The i5-134000 and the RTX 4060 alone cost about 460 euros, 2 TB SSD about 90 euros, 32 GB RAM another 90 – 180 euros, keyboard and mouse 45 – 90 euros. Not to mention the motherboard, the operating system, and a case, which together would cost another 230 to 280 euros.
This assembly certainly costs more than 900 euros if you build it all yourself.
