Which buildings should you build first? After the tutorial, your first rough goal should be to upgrade your Town Hall to level 3. For this, you need to either build new buildings or upgrade old ones.
At the beginning, the priorities are quite simple:
- First, you should build a Gold Mine and an Elixir Collector
- Next, you should build the Archer Tower
- Then, you should upgrade the Cannon and Barracks to level 2 each
- Finally, build walls around your village and storage for Gold and Elixir
This is enough to quickly upgrade your Town Hall to level 3. This should occupy you for about the first 2 to 3 hours of the game.
Resources and the right defense are important
What’s next? Basically, you need resources to build new buildings, create troops, and defend yourself.
Before upgrading the Town Hall to level 4, you should upgrade your gold and elixir sources and storages—bringing the storage even up to level 6—and have your Barracks raised to level 3. Building the first Laboratory is also important.
After constructing the Laboratory, you should constantly upgrade and use it to improve your troops. This is the first priority after upgrading the Town Hall.
If you also quickly look for a clan and request defense from there, you should focus on the Clan Castle. This will be an important hub for your village throughout the game.
What does the prioritization look like in the further course of the game?
- Upgrade buildings in the order – Laboratory, Clan Castle, Elixir and Gold, Defense, Barracks, Rest. From Town Hall level 5, the Spell Factory is added, which should be upgraded second, and from Town Hall 7, the King and Queen as well.
- The Town Hall should not be leveled up too quickly from level 5 onward, but at the latest from level 7. Instead, pay attention to expanding the rest of the village to avoid problems with enemy attacks later on.
- For defense, you should particularly focus on upgrading buildings with area damage. This includes Mortars, Wizard Towers, and Teslas. These should always be at the highest possible level. Air defense and traps also become more important at higher levels.
- Your collectors and storages should always have the highest possible level.
- Walls can be somewhat neglected starting from Town Hall level 7, especially since players will attack from the air.
