We have often reported on Civilization Online with wide eyes. This is developed by the ArcheAge creators XLGames on behalf of 2k-Games for the Asian market.
Essentially, it takes the basic idea of Civilization and turns it into something completely different. Players must cooperate in an MMO to lead their realm from the Stone Age to modern times. Players can take on certain roles as a soldier, researcher, spy, or builder.
Things are slowly taking shape; currently, we are in the PRE-OBT, before the jump into an open beta, and the video introduces the four playable realms: They are the Romans, the Egyptians, the Aztecs, and the Chinese.
