The development of an MMORPG takes time. The developers of Chronicles of Elyria had to realize this as they have now updated the roadmap to release. When is the release date of Chronicles of Elyria now? When does it start in alpha and beta.
On the official website of the upcoming MMORPG Chronicles of Elyria, the developers look back on what they have been able to achieve so far and also look ahead.
While work on Chronicles of Elyria is making good progress and new developers have also been hired, the game is not progressing as quickly as one might have thought.
Therefore, the roadmap has now been updated. The roadmap shows which milestones of the game are to be reached and at what time.
The ambitious MMORPG Chronicles of Elyria is coming later than planned
According to the new roadmap, fans should not expect a release of the game before the end of 2019. In March 2016, it was still believed to be “the end of 2017, which was probably too optimistic.

Q stands for a quarter, T stands for trimester (4 months) and S stands for half a year.
Chronicles of Elyria: When can you play it? Alpha, Beta, and Release
The first alpha of Chronicles of Elyria should therefore come in the first 4 months of 2018. The first beta in the first half of 2019. The launch then in the second half of 2019 – probably by the end of the year.
First glimpse through the MUD
The release of Elyria MUD is likely to be interesting. It is an online game with rudimentary graphics, which gives a glimpse into the MMORPG and through which players are supposed to help developers in further developing the game. The MUD will be released by the end of the year. You can see what it looks like and how it works through a new video.
2018 and 2019 will be interesting for the actual game, as the alpha and beta phases will start, leading up to the release at the end of 2019. The developers indicate that they are working hard on all possible game systems to make Chronicles of Elyria an extraordinary MMORPG. High ambitions include, for example, pollen flow, aging of animals, orphanages, and much more. If the team can really implement all of this, then Chronicles of Elyria will be an MMO like we have never played before.
