Here’s how to proceed: In just a few steps, you can create an account with OpenAI and then use the chatbot in German without any problems:

1. First, go to the official website of ChatGPT.
2. Now you have 2 options:
   • Either create an OpenAI account. For the OpenAI account, you need an email address.
   • Alternatively, use your Google account for login. There are no downsides to this.
3. Once you have created your account, you will need a phone number for verification only once.
4. When you log in, you will see a very general interface. On the left side, you can see your active chats or directly type a question in the middle field. Then you start a new chat.

Setting ChatGPT to German

How to use ChatGPT in German? The OpenAI chatbot is multilingual and the program immediately recognizes when you ask a question in German. If you write in German, you will also receive a response in German. However, you can also write in English.

This means you don’t need to make any settings but can directly ask your question in German. You can also give ChatGPT an English text and ask for a German summary. To do so, you need to enter the text in the question field. The chatbot cannot do anything with a link as it has no internet connection.
