Soon, Monster Hunter Wilds will receive its next major update. But more are already in the pipeline. Capcom now gives a glimpse into the future of the game and proves that community feedback is important to them.
What issue is Capcom addressing? In a post via X.com, Game Director of Monster Hunter Wilds, Yuya Tokuda, shares a so-called mini letter from the producer. In it, he discusses additional things that will occur with Title Update 2 on June 30, 2025, as well as the following updates.
Because in addition to the content updates, TU2 will also implement extensive adjustments aimed primarily at addressing the main problem that has recently led to increasing negative criticism: performance.
A graphic shows which adjustments will be at the center of the update on June 30:
- DLSS4 and FR4 are now supported for graphics upscaling
- The amount of VRAM used for texture streaming has been adjusted, resulting in lower overall VRAM usage
- A problem has been fixed where the estimated VRAM usage in the display/graphics settings was calculated to be lower than the actual value
- The issue of increased CPU load due to shader compilation during gameplay has been resolved, which led to unstable performance until the compilation was completed
Further problems and feedback are known to the team, and work is being done tirelessly to address and resolve more issues in the future. Especially the areas of usability (UI/UX) and improved game stability (Steam version) will soon be more of a focus.
Additionally, Yuya Tokuda provides a brief outlook on the upcoming Title Updates 3 and 4.
An outlook for the rest of the year
What else awaits you? In addition to this addition to the changes that will come with Title Update 2, Tokuda also discusses the future of the game. He presents the following timeline:
- At the beginning of August, version 1.021 is set to bring further improvements for the Dual Blades, Hunting Horn, Gunlance, and Light and Heavy Bowguns
- Title Update 3 is scheduled to be released in September 2025 and will include the following content:

These fixes are expected to take place between the Title Updates, which will only be released every few months.
More information on the upcoming Title Updates, as well as further improvements and adjustments, will follow soon. A new format called “Guild Reports” will be used on the official X account to inform players more quickly and regularly and to respond directly to feedback.
