With the recently launched Meltan event in Pokémon GO, many players also want a mystery box to have a chance at a Shiny Meltan. The mystery box is available only in connection with the Nintendo Switch and that’s exactly where there are problems.
Since the last update of Pokémon GO, many players have reported difficulties. They were unable to connect their account with the Switch and thus couldn’t obtain a mystery box. However, Niantic has now communicated via Twitter and provided a proposed solution.
How to solve the connection problems with the Switch
This is what Niantic says: Niantic explains that the problem can be easily solved: “Trainers, we can confirm that the latest update has affected the connection between Nintendo Switch and Pokémon GO. If you disconnect Pokémon GO from the Switch and restart the Switch by holding the power button for 3 seconds, you can restore the connection.”
Does it really work? On Reddit, numerous players confirm that this proposed solution resolves the issues. Subsequently, players were able to reconnect with the Switch and obtain a mystery box.
