Officially, we know very little about the new Call of Duty 2023. However, the responsible parties have now announced a change that sounds almost too good to be true.
What was the announcement? The official Twitter account of Call of Duty posted the following tweet yesterday:
“Let’s get this out of the way… Should MW2 operators, weapons, and bundles be available in Call of Duty 2023?” There are only two possible answers:
- Yes
- Yes, when is the reveal?
With that, CoD has nearly casually announced a skin revolution. For the first time, you can transfer old skins from a premium CoD to the next Call of Duty. That was already possible in Warzone, where you could use skins from CoD MW 2019, Cold War, and Vanguard.
But for the annual premium CoD, that has been unthinkable until now—because it saves a lot of money if you already have a few matching skins lying around in your inventory. At first glance, a nice gesture – how this will be implemented in the game remains to be seen.
Currently, the Mid-Season 4 in CoD MW2 is ongoing. Here is the trailer for Season 4:
What does this mean for Call of Duty 2023? On the one hand, you don’t start CoD with an empty inventory. Weapons, operators, and other cosmetics will already be waiting for you.
Moreover, the weapons of the current CoD MW2 must also be available in Call of Duty 2023. Otherwise, you could hardly use the skins for them.
There is also an increased chance that current leaks are correct. Accordingly, an internal alpha of CoD 2023 is currently running, and the first information from supposed insiders is coming to light. Here is a brief insight:
- It is said to be Modern Warfare 3, a direct sequel to the current CoD
- The reveal is supposed to take place in August, the release on November 10
- The war mode from CoD 2017 is supposed to be back
- Classic mini-map
On MeinMMO, you will soon find a collection article with the most important information about Call of Duty 2023.
If the leaks are to be believed, the reveal of CoD 2023 will proceed just like it did back in Cold War (2020) and Vanguard (2021). There might be an event in the current Warzone game that reveals the first trailer of CoD 2023.
As soon as there is more information about the new Call of Duty, you will find it here on MeinMMO.
