Borderlands 4 was released recently. However, many players are complaining about the performance of the loot shooter. A new patch aims to address these issues.
What does the patch improve? On September 18, 2025, a new patch for Borderlands 4 was released. On the official website, they describe the main changes to address the issues affecting many players:
- Various improvements have been made to stability. Some crashes were caused by animation states, audio, or collision checks. Additionally, crashes related to the graphics card have also been addressed.
- A problem has been fixed where the Reward Center stopped functioning after redeeming certain rewards (Gilded-Glory-Pack).
- A bug has been fixed in the “Talk to Zadra” mission, where the objective could fail.
- Furthermore, a bug has been removed that told you that you did not own a DLC, even though you were not wearing any DLC equipment.
- Lastly, you will no longer find guild glory packs in the regular chests.
In their blog post on Steam, the developers write that they read every player feedback and that their top priority is to improve the performance of Borderlands 4.

What are the developers giving to players? Along with the patch, the Break-Free-Pack is going live. Due to players’ achievements in Borderlands 4, such as looting over 700 million items, without even counting the common items, you will receive some rewards:
- A vault skin that you can use with Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe.
- A legendary shield.
- Two new looks for the drone ECHO-4.
