To open these mines, you don’t need a secret path or a key; you only need the right progress in the campaign.
Complete the mission “Shadows of the Miner” in the Terminus expanse. Once you have done that and unlocked the Buddler’s headquarters, Belton’s Bore, all mines will be open to you. You can now pass through the colorful holograms and move freely.
All about the mines on Kairos
What will I find in the mines? Mines are like bunkers, small dungeons that you can find, explore, and loot. At the end of each mine, you will also find a fixed boss that can reward you with even more items if you emerge victorious.
How many mines are there on Kairos? In total, you can expect up to 7 mines, scattered wildly across the map. Each area has at least one mine.
How do I best explore a mine? The problem with the mines is their lack of clarity. They are dark, winding, and the path to the boss is usually hidden. If you discover a mine and get stuck in a room, you should pay attention to the walls.
Many passages are barricaded with boards that you can then destroy with your rifle or melee. However, there are also ways that lead you over rock crevices or require climbing. It’s best to keep your eyes open and search every corner of every room.
