At the launch of Borderlands 4, there are two legendary weapons available through Twitch Drops. We will show you how to get them.
What kind of weapons are they? Both are legendary weapons.
- The first is called “Midnight Defiance”. This is a sniper rifle.
- You can obtain this weapon through Twitch Drops from certain partner streams for Borderlands 4. A list of partners of Borderlands 4 on Twitch who distribute Drops can be found here (via borderlands.com).
- The second weapon is “Forsaken Chaos”. This is a legendary shotgun.
- You can obtain this weapon through Twitch Drops from official streams for Borderlands 4 on the Borderlands Twitch channel or the Gearbox Twitch channel.
Both weapons will be available as Twitch Drops between September 11 and September 30.
How powerful are the weapons? Both weapons will be at the level of your Vault Hunters when you pick them up – they will be scaled to your level. However, they will be at least level 5.
What do I need to do to receive them? The two weapons are distributed via Twitch Drops. You need to watch two hours for each weapon on certain Borderlands streams to unlock the reward. Important: The rewards are not distributed together but sequentially. So you need to watch for a total of four hours for both.
It is also important that you connect your Shift account with your Twitch account; otherwise, it won’t work. We summarize the entire process for you here.
How do I unlock Twitch Drops for Borderlands 4?
Below we show you the steps you need to take to receive Twitch Drops for Borderlands 4.
- First, you need to connect your SHiFT account with Twitch. To do this, you need to log in to SHiFT.
- Watch the appropriate streams on Twitch.
- Click “Claim Reward” on your Twitch Drop Inventory page once you have met the requirements.
- Important: You only have 24 hours to pick up your reward after it is unlocked.
- In the game, you will find the rewards in the rewards center of the inventory screen.

Borderlands 4 has launched – how is it being received?

Also, the first tests are now recorded on Metacritic, and the reviews provide an overall positive assessment of Borderlands 4. However, the reviews on Steam currently appear more critical, which is mainly due to the PC performance of the game.
