Since September 12, 2025, players can explore the world of Borderlands 4 while looting and leveling up. The community has already achieved quite a lot. For this, there is now a reward in the form of the Break-Free Pack. In addition to cosmetic items, there is also a legendary item that you can redeem.
What is this code? Gearbox is now rewarding players of Borderlands 4 with a few items through the Break-Free Pack. To do this, you only need to redeem the following SHiFT code:

What are the rewards? For your vault hunters, you will receive a skin and there are also 2 new skins for your Echo-4 (Free yourself
and Kn0x
). The big highlight is a new shield that will help you during your playthrough: The Firebreak.
Due to the special effect of the shield, a nova activates on 3 enemies, dealing damage to them when your shield is broken.
The shield scales, but is at least level 25. So, if you want a legendary shield for the endgame, it’s worth waiting until level 50 to open the rewards.
Reward for a lot of chaos
What is the community rewarded for? On the official website for Borderlands 4, Gearbox published statistics that the players have achieved since the release and for which they want to reward the community. Among these are numbers like:
- 4,563,416 times players died from grenades
- 2,034,399 times players died from barrels
- 764,733,586 items have been looted (Common items do not count)
- 487,585 items have been scavenged from trash bins
- 65,141,156.10 kilometers have been driven in vehicles
- 62,718,658 bosses have been attempted, and 55,403,323 bosses have been defeated
Players managed this in less than a week. In a game like Borderlands 4, a lot of loot is part of the daily routine, which makes these numbers quite plausible.
