In a blog post, the developers of Borderlands 3 announced a new season pass and additional DLCs. We at MeinMMO will tell you how the shooter is set to continue in 2020 and 2021.
What is Gearbox planning? On September 10th, “War” the fourth and final DLC from the first season pass was released. Just two days later, the developers were already talking about the future and announced the next DLC and versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
With the latest blog posts, more precise details about the future have been released:
- There will be a new season pass
- This will give you access to the new DLCs Designer’s Cut and Director’s Cut
- Designer’s Cut will be released on November 10th, along with the new season pass
- Director’s Cut, on the other hand, is supposed to be released in early 2021
In the blog post, the developers emphasized that the two new DLCs will focus on introducing new modes and ways for you to play Borderlands 3.
In addition, it was revealed when you can learn more about the details of Designer’s Cut.
Designer’s Cut introduces mysterious mode and new skill trees
What is included in the last DLC of 2020? The Designer’s Cut particularly focuses on two contents:
- New skill trees for each vault hunter
- The new game mode Plüller-Parade (Arms Race in English)
In the new game mode, there will not be a direct Battle Royale, but it aims to appeal to fans of CoD Warzone and other “Battle Royale” games. These cryptic statements are currently puzzling fans as well.
It is clear that this mode will take place on its own island and that weapons will play a significant role. The latter should come as no surprise in Borderlands 3.
When will we learn more? In the blog post, some dates were mentioned when new details about the DLC will be announced:
- On October 20th at 6:00 PM there will be a livestream about the skill trees of FL4K and Amara
- On October 22nd at 6:00 PM there will be a livestream about the skill trees of Moze and Zane
- On October 29th at 5:00 PM (due to daylight saving time) the new mode Plüller-Parade will be shown
- On October 30th at 5:00 PM there will be a hands-on of the DLC
So more updates are planned for Borderlands 3. Nevertheless, right now is a good time to dive into the shooter, believes MeinMMO author Max Handwerk.
