In Borderlands 3 it continues! The first major story DLC “Moxxi’s Heist of The Handsome Jackpot” is coming. We’re heading to the casino!
When is the DLC coming? As officially announced in the Borderlands Show, the first major add-on “Moxxi’s Heist of The Handsome Jackpot will be available on December 19.
Who can play the DLC? Basically anyone who has purchased Borderlands 3. The DLC is included in the Season Pass and the Super Deluxe Edition; others will have to purchase it.
The DLC is mainly aimed at players who have reached at least level 13 and have unlocked Sanctuary. If you are already stronger than level 13, the difficulty in the DLC is increased. You can get a better impression here:
What’s included in the Borderlands 3 DLC “Handsome Jackpot”
This is the story: In “Moxxi’s Heist of The Handsome Jackpot,” you are recruited by Mad Moxxi to take over a space station built by Handsome Jack during his lifetime. It turns out to be a really big casino: With neon signs and gambling, but also plenty of new enemies that will get in your way during your heist.
Among others, you will face Hyperion Loader Bots and crazies who have been stuck there since Jack’s demise. You must defeat them while you discover new locations that “do justice to Handsome Jack’s lifestyle and machinations.” Whether Jack, as previously speculated, will somehow be part of the story is still uncertain.
Here’s what you can do: The add-on brings you not only the new location, but also plenty of new secrets, side quests, and crew challenges. There will be a whole bunch of new enemies and bosses. Additionally, there will be new:
- Legendary weapons
- Equipment items
- Cosmetics
Among other things, there will be new Vault Hunter heads as well as skins, charms, ECHO Device skins, and new emotes.
