In Borderlands 3, the first DLC “Moxxi’s Heist of The Handsome Jackpot” is coming soon. You can already take a look at what to expect!
When does the DLC start? You can play the 1st DLC for Borderlands 3 starting December 19. It will be the next major milestone in Borderlands 3 after the Mayhem 4 and Maliwan Takedown. It is already included in the Season Pass and the Super Deluxe Edition. Those who haven’t acquired either can also purchase it separately.
The Heist on the Handsome Jackpot Begins – 13 Minutes of Gameplay
Here’s what the DLC is about: The DLC takes the Vault Hunters to the completely new map “Handsome Jackpot”. It is a huge casino built by Handsome Jack during his lifetime.
However, you are not just here to engage in a little gambling. You are here to pull off a heist. Naturally, there will be plenty of enemies standing in your way. And you can already see what that looks like.
Developers Show First Video: If you can’t wait any longer, you now have the chance to preview the first minutes of the DLC. If you don’t want to know what to expect yet, you might want to skip the video. But for those wanting a first impression, you can do so here:
So much Handsome Jack is in the Video: You can see the player landing in the Handsome Jackpot. It doesn’t take long before the first oversized Jack statues are blocking the way – of course, they are made of gold!
Additionally, there’s a huge hologram and a small transmission from Jack, who doesn’t hold back on the one-liners. In one way or another, Handsome Jack returns to the Borderlands story after his demise.
What else is there to see? There are plenty of wild combat scenes that look really cool in the opulent casino. Everything is blinking and glittering – the atmosphere is definitely on point! For the rest, Zane is played in the video with plenty of rugged one-liners. It looks like the DLC continues consistently as in Borderlands 3 – just with an extra dash of gold and glitter.
