The new abilities of FL4K and Amara in Borderlands 3 have been introduced. What new skills do the two Vault Hunters get?
When do the skill trees come? The new skill trees for the Vault Hunters will arrive with a new DLC. The “Designer’s Cut” releases on November 10 and brings not only the new abilities but also a new mode.
It’s been known for a while that our Vault Hunters would receive new abilities. Now, Amara’s and FL4K’s skills have been detailed.
Amara now shoots with an elemental orb
This is included in Amara’s new skills: Amara’s new skill tree is called “Enlightened Might” and introduces the new action skill “Phaseflare”. The Phaseflare is a huge orb of elemental energy that you can then volley around with melee attacks and cause it to explode. It deals damage to nearby enemies and is especially effective when it directly collides with them.
Additionally, Amara’s new skill tree grants her the ability to convert her elemental damage to Cryo, allowing for many frozen enemies. You can then easily clear them with the Phaseflare.
The ultimate ability in the tree is called “Free the Spirit” and allows Amara to ignore the elemental resistances (but not immunities) of her enemies for a certain period after a kill. There are also skills that increase her speeds when reloading and switching weapons or reduce the cooldown of her skills. FL4K hunts with a new pet
This is included in FL4K’s new skills: In FL4K’s new skill tree “Trapper”, enemies will face a new pet. From now on, FL4K can also send a Loader Bot against your foes. There are various variants: depending on the skills, your bot can use rockets, a sniper, or a shotgun.
Additionally, FL4K receives the new action skill “Gravity Trap”. This trap is meant to hold enemies in place for a long time, so your pets can rush in on them.
The action skill also provides several abilities that are supposed to make FL4K more resilient. The new ultimate ability “Capacity” grants a higher shield capacity directly and shields that recharge immediately when FL4K activates his action skill. He can now also give his pets a copy of his shield.
